You are not alone

When it comes to diabetes, you're not alone

58.7 per cent of people with Type 1 diabetes and 38.1 per cent of people with Type 2 diabetes in England and Wales do not receive all eight annual health checks to manage their diabetes effectively.1

Don’t feel guilty if you have frequent high and low blood glucose levels. It doesn’t mean you aren’t trying hard enough – there are many reasons to explain why highs and lows happen. Remember that your body and your condition can change over time.

The important thing to remember is that you’re not alone. Many people feel the way you do; talking to your healthcare professional can help.

You can use the Diabetes UK checklist to help you to look at your highs and lows and look at your options with your healthcare professional, who may be able to recommend adjustments that can help.
